ALL THE SPRING FEELS

…got us feelin’ so fly (queue song: Suga Suga by Baby Bash)

We’ve had a lot to celebrate; with Plant a Flower Day on March 12th, First Day of Spring on March 19th, and National Flower Day on March 21st… Can you tell I’m excited for bloom season to start?

Radiance. Brightness. Positivity

Yellow tulips represent joy and friendship. I fell hard for these yellow tulips last year. These were massive blooms that I couldn’t get enough of. I had a vase full of yellow tulips on my kitchen table for weeks, giving me all the happy vibes. They lasted an incredibly long time! .....soooo I planted 500 that will bloom this spring!

We’re crossing our fingers that they will be ready for u-pick on opening day (April 20th, 2024), as we’re hosting our 3rd annual Pear Bloom Run on our new farm!

I’m staying hopeful because we’ve seen some tulips start to pop up this past month and just recently Daffodils have bloomed, looking as vibrant as ever. I was nervous about the gopher situation with the Tulips. We had some Tulip losses but they mostly survived! I would never have the luck in Parkdale!

THE START OF OUR U-PICK GARDEN

I have been dreaming of this time for so long and it’s finally here! Our u-pick garden, tucked away, it will be a delightful experience just to wander through the orchard to find it. Once there, you’ll be wowed with what is presented. I know I am every time I’m there and there aren’t even flowers there yet!

With a view of Mt. Adams and a peek-a-boo view of Mt Hood from the other side, this spot was destined to be overflowing with flowers. Now the question is, how should it be designed?

I reached out on Instagram to hear from our incredible Pear Bloom Community and your response was so exciting! I wanted to hear everyone’s ideas and dreams for this space because I love to dream together. I mean, this garden is for ALL of US to enjoy and bloom season is just around the corner!

With love,

Yesenia
