What was meant to be a quiet moment of family love became one of the most unforgettable evenings of the season so far — a night filled with connection, warmth, and the simple joy of being together.
There’s something truly magical about the Summer Solstice, when the sun lingers just a little longer and the world feels bathed in golden light. This year, that light poured perfectly into our newly planted Rose Garden, tucked in the heart of the pear orchard and just steps from our beloved U-Pick Secret Garden.

A Rainy Start turned Radiant
We had planned to spend the evening outside, but the skies were grey all day and rain had just fallen right before we began setting up. For a moment, we held our breath, worried the weather would chase us out and wash away the golden hour we were hoping for. Still, with hearts full of hope, we set up quickly while the air was thick with the scent of fresh rain and blooming petals. And just as we finished arranging everything, the clouds parted and the sun broke through — glowing at the perfect time. It was as if the light had been waiting just for this beautiful family.
The Glow of Motherhood
The garden felt like something out of a storybook — a dreamy scene brought to life by the fresh rain and radiant blooms. The roses, glistening with droplets, stood tall and vibrant, while the soft, golden sunlight poured in at just the right moment. It illuminated the gentle beauty of motherhood as we captured heartfelt moments between a mother and her sons.
There were warm embraces, quiet whispers, and laughter that echoed through the blossoms. The children raced joyfully down the rose aisles, their energy infectious, and by the end of the evening, they left with sticky fingers and happy hearts, thanks to the most delicious, gooey cinnamon rolls that sweetened the day even more.
Why We Created This Space
Mama and her boys frolicked through the flowers, played games right there in the rose garden, admired the lush greenery all around, and shared fresh-baked goods among the blooms — sweet bites paired with sweeter moments. It was a celebration of love, family, and the simple joy of being together in nature. And in the end? It didn’t rain again!
The evening unfolded with more beauty and warmth than we ever could have imagined. Tia captured each tender smile, every meaningful glance, and all the golden, fleeting moments — preserving the essence of the Summer Solstice in images we hope they treasure for years to come. And Ry brought it all together with the most thoughtfully crafted picnic, creating a setting that made every memory feel even more magical.
This is exactly why we poured so much love and intention into this garden: to create a space where love can bloom in all its forms, where memories take root, and where people can pause, breathe, and truly reconnect in the heart of nature.
